Some would say 15 year old June lived a privileged life. Though her parents had passed away, she and her brother Metias had done well for themselves. They were both selected as members of the Republic's prestigious military faction. Though June frequently got in trouble for being rebellious at her exclusive, private school, it was often overlooked - she was gifted, a prodigy, and her invaluable gifts destined June for great success and wealth.
When her brother Metias is suddenly killed, however, June finds herself alone and frightened for the first time in her life. Her best friend, the one she could count on, and her only family was suddenly ripped away from her. There was only one person to blame - the vigilante outcast named Day. Day had ruthlessly murdered her brother. Before, June had found this dissenter's antics slightly amusing. Angry and in shock, June makes it her personal mission to hunt Day, find him, and see that justice was served for Day's crime. The Republic agreed. June has permission to disguise herself and to track Day until she can find and capture him.
Ironically, it is Day that finds June. June, while hunting Day, becomes seriously injured in a fight with one of the locals. Imagine June's shock when it is Day, her arch enemy, who saves her life. Suddenly, June finds herself very close to Day, spending time with him while she reuperated from her injuries. June finds herself learning about Day as a man - his habits and his thoughts and begins fighting her growing attraction to him.
Instead of being elated that she has captured the man who took away her brother, June finds herself captured by Day. Though Metias's death must be avenged, June begins to wonder if Day was actually capable of murdering another person. What if the Republic was wrong?
June finds herself asking questions. The Republic doesn't like to be questioned. If June doesn't turn over the man she has begun falling in love with soon, she will be the one hunted, captured, and executed.
I thought that the book was great!!! It makes makes the story really interesting how the author alternates between characters. You get to see both sides of the story. Anyway the story is about a boy named Day and a girl named June. Day is a poor boy that lives in the Lake sector. There is a plague going around and his youngest brother has got it. He brakes into the hospital to get antibiotics. In his escape he throws a knife at June's brother. Later on they suspect he killed him so they capture him. The Republic( government in charge of country) kills his mom in the process. He is sentenced to death. June is a highly respected military soldier. She falls in love with him and helps him and his brothers escape. Day and his brother look exactly alike, so to buy them time he brother get himself captured. Later after June and Day get away they see his dead brother on t.v. The two of the run away to the Colonies(enemy of the Republic) hoping the they can live there.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good book of how these two very different people come together in the end.June a girl who lives a great life and everything stars to crash down.Her parents are dead but she really never really new them and the person she been living with all her life is now dead.The person she thinks killed him really didn't and she learns that the hard way.Then there is Day a boy who is on the run a law breaker and poor.His family thinks he ='s dead but the only person that knows he's alive is his older brother.He try to get some medicine for his family because his little brother has the plague. So he gets it runs but almost get caught.So he takes his knife out hits so man in the shoulder and run.He is found dead but he really did not kill him but June does not know that.So the dude that Day hit in the shoulder is actually June brother.So she is going to hunt him down till she get to kill him but she figures out the truth but is it to late.
ReplyDeleteThis book is about two different people who come together to try to solve a mystery of the how the government is working. June is a girl who is a solider which is one of the best soliders. Both of her parents are dead, so that leaves her and her brother. But later on in the book, She discovers that the person that is very close to them may had something to do with a death with someone that stayed with her. Day is a poor fugutive who's on the run. He then encounters June's close relative and he ends up dieing. Day gets framed for it. June then discovers that Day didn't do it. So in the book they find out who did it. And she ends up doing something that could cost her her job.
ReplyDeleteThis book is about a 15 year old boy named Day,who is the most wanted criminal in the Republic(takes place in future Los Angeles,California)and a girl named June Iparis,also 15,who is a well ranked girl in the Republic's military.She has no one left but her brother,Metias, after her parents die.During an attempt to steal some plague cures for his little brother from a hospital,Day runs into Metias while escaping and mistakingly throws a knife at him and kills Metias,or so they thought.June goes on a mission to find her brothers murderer,but in her mission, she runs into a fight and is rescued by a boy,Day,who neither of them know each other's true identity.She stays with him until she finds out until who he really is, then calls in the military to take him into custody to be executed. While Day is custody she finds out the true secrets of the Republic,and rebels to help day escape.They go through risky events and escapes in the end.This book is honestly the best book i have ever read!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell anyone can read this book. Let me tell you, it will keep you glued to all the pages. Its about this girl who rebels to help another person escape. earlier, though, she stays with a guy untill she knows who he is then calls in the army to execute him.
ReplyDeleteThis was a very good book. It's about a boy named Day who is the most wanted criminal in the Republic. June Iparis is a ranked and very skilled girl in the Republics military. Day kills everything that June has, her older brother. Her parents died a while ago and her older brother looked after her. Day killed Metias because Metias almost captured Day. But Day threw a knife and killed him. After june figured out what happened, She wanted to try and find day and kill him. June meets this boy and falls in love with him and still tries to find Day. After a while she was with him, she told him who she was after and she figured out she'd been with Day for a long time and didn't even notice it. Day was captured and put into the jail. Since June was in love with him, she tried to help Day escape. June got the Rebels and they helped him escape. This was a very good book.
