Reading All Stars Program
Students must read a minimum of two books, fiction and nonfiction, to receive the incentives of the Reading All Stars program. The books must be approved by their Language Arts teacher.
By March 10th, students must either complete a blog post of book form as evidence as having read theitr two books.
Qualifiers will receive a freet ticket to the Greenville Drive baseball game on Monday, April 12th and attend a pizza party! Post your book review by selecting the comments link below:
I read the book Killer Pizza and its great! The perfect hooror book, its a fast read. The author has a great style that I would read over again. I totally recomend this book to anyone with an active mind!
ReplyDeleteI read the non fiction book Dangerous Animals. It was a good, infromational read. I thought the pictures were amazingly close up and personal with many animals. I recomend this to anyone in need for an animal project.
ReplyDeleteDistant Waves was the most greatest story I read. It talks about a mother who sees goast from the dead. She has seven daughters which 5 sisters aboard the Titantic. The oldest sister is half white and half Hatian. She meets rich people and gets married. The middle sister is 16 and she falls in love with a 20 year old name Thad. The other middle sister is a baby sitter of Juliete's children. The two twin girls can see goast and in the end one of the twin girls name Emily dies. But for the 16 year old she is engaged to Thad.
ReplyDeleteI read Closed For the Season by Mary Downing Hahn. This book was a amazing book. I loved all the details. I also loved how she described the character, Silas. Silas is a scary,mysterious character. He is very concerned about money. This book is suspenseful. It was hard to put it down. I wanted to keep reading. I say everyone should read this book if you like mysteries.
ReplyDeleteI read A Child Called It by David Pelzer. This book is very sad. I almost cried. It amazes me how David even survived. This book has a lesson to it. You should be thankful to even have food. David was starved for 10 days straight. He ate frozen school meals. He tried to steal kid's lunches. He was trying anything to stay alive because of his drunk mother. She even turned her sons against their own brother. It is just so sad. He's a inspiration. This book was great.

And i love people you have to figure out.Vampire are cool ,wolves also and bella.Bella is strong because i would of ran away from him.But i love the book. its wonderful.And I cant wait for Twilight Saga new moon.
ReplyDeleteThe wide window was a very good story. When count olaf took sunny, violet, and klaus's aunt away the children were left at the house. the children found her in a cave. they got her to go with them, but little did they know that count olaf was waiting for their return.
ReplyDeleteThe story of Nelson Mandela is a non-fiction book.About 28 years he spent his life in prison.Then he got free February 11,1990.And became the first demorcratic president of South Africa.He is the best president I've ever seen in my life.His wife was also important.She never cheated on him(Nelson Mandela).While he was in prison.She was a strong supporter of her husband.As Nelson Mandela said "United We Stand".

ReplyDeleteThe next book I read was about Usher. Usher is one of the biggest pop/ r& b singer alive. James Brown called Usher the godson of soul. Usher was part owner of the Calvilers basketball team. Usher won a lot of grammy's from the c.d Confessions. Usher when he was younger, entered talent shows in Teenesse. Usher now has his own colonge and record lable. Usher is also a great actor.

ReplyDeleteI read book on Kobe Bryant.It told me that Kobe won the Pennsylvania State Championship.Kob has two sisters and one step sister.His mom and dad got divorce when he was six.He got to go to the NBA straght out of high school.He was drafted by the Houston Rockets,but he was traded to Laker's before the season started.He is with the Lakers right now and he is one of the best NBA players.Kobe has four rings and he is looking for number four.

ReplyDeleteRapunzel's Revenge is about a little gril who finds out that she was stolen from her mother and was cased to a tower that was as high as one of the twin towers. after she finds a way out she meets a pick poceter who helps her tack her revenge after she deffets the woman who kidnapped her she frees her mother and gets a every close friend.
ReplyDeleteI read the book forged by fire by sharon m, draper. It was very good book. It was about a boy named Gerald. At the beginning of the book Gerald was three years old. His mom went out to get some drugs and left him byhimself and the house caught on fire. Then Gerald had to live with his aunt queen. When he was 17 his aunt died and he had to go back and live with his mom. His step sister was getting raped by her mom's boyfriend then Gerald has to stand up to him.

ReplyDeletethe cronicals of vladimir todd book one is about a young vampire that lives with his aunt named vladimir todd he and his freind henry are up in the secret atic at vlad's aunts house and they find a cylider with a marking on the bottom of the cylinder wile a they ar trying to figure out the cylinder a monster hunter is trying to hunt him down and kill vlad. will vlad ever find out before the hunter hunts him down. well you will read it to find out.

Iyt was about how All these people was going thought thing in there family and or lives and one day at school a teacher stared a class where everyone could say was going on in there lives in a poem. It really helped everyone get to know each other more better. i would really like to read some more of her books.

ReplyDeleteSuperbikes is a great book! I love this book because in is about bike superbikes races, how they are desinged, and about the gripping tracks. Anyone who loves raceing should read it!
ReplyDeleteI read the Diary of Anne Frank...It was a great book! Reading everything she went through from school and when she was hiding was so interesting. Just seeing what some of the Jews went through was so eye opening
ReplyDeleteI read the book about the gun it is one of the blu ford high and its about a boy that thinks he is all that and one day he got beat up by a little boy and he gets made fun of and he then ask a boy about a gun to buy it to take it to school to kill a that boy because he dont like getting made fun of and when he goes to school he cant even kill the boy and he told a girl that he wanted to get his mom a birthday gift for his mom but when the girl calles to tell his mom happy birthday his mom tells her it is not her birthday so the boy used the money for the gun so thats how she knew he was lieing about the gift so they dont talk any more.
ReplyDeleteThe Sea of Monsters was a great book I would read it a second time. It has humor, action, and a mysterious setting.Im this book Percy Jackson needs to help save the camp half-blood...You would never want to put the book down!
ReplyDeleteI read the book Freak! its pretty good! i love the way it ends too...it was just a little weird for my tastes tho..but still it was good. And I was sooo happy when Miriam beat up Jenny in the cafeteria! it was a major LOL for me. I also read Miley Cyrus,living the dream,that book had a ton of awesome Hannah facts in it that I didnt even no of! so, these books were pretty good by far. :P Can't wait 2 read some more!!
ReplyDeleteI read the book about Miley Cyrus i all so learned that her real name is Destiny Hope Cyrus and she has a huge career in being Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus and she also sings alot of songs. and she is 17 years old and gots a movie and she love to have photos of her cool right bye :) lol :) lol :)

The main topic of the book is how the military depends on them how it helps them in combat. the book captrues the images slow motion shoots and bullets he puts the rifles in diffrent groups such as sniper rifle to ground troops standerd m4 and m16

Oprah did not like the way she looked. She said that she went to sleep with cotton balls in her nose, just to change the size of it. Oprah gave back to many children and also adults. Many people believe that oprah will soon let go of her talk show and become a hollywood actress

ReplyDeletei also read a series of unfortunate events honestly i couldnt really get into it it was very kidish for me it was a okay book but i wouldnt be interested in readind any more of the series. maybe if i read it from the first book till now i would like and understand it but as for now i didnt really like it.

ReplyDeleteRapunzels Revenge was a wonderful book she finally met her real mother and wants to get revenge on her step mother because she put rapunzels real mother in a slavery bound that rapunzel never knew about and her step mother makes her guard take rapunzel away since she figured out her secret ..... so rapunzel let her hair grow out and she would practice cow or bull tosses with her hair and 1 day she grew it so long that she escaped the tower that she was locked almost forever.
ReplyDeletei read the underground.. it is a slavery book kinda mysterious but very interesting. its about two teenagers who are two different kinds of people. Stephen Bishop is an eighteen year old who thinks he has all the freedom he can get. Charlotte doesnt think that him or her have the kind of freedom she wants or expects.. so she decides to try to escape with other hurt runaway slaves. She wants to involve Stephen and the Mammoth cave too but she doesnt know whether Stephen is that type of person she thinks or is hopeing he is.. so if yu want to read it go ahead.. its really good but rather long.

ReplyDeleteI read a book about a jew called Kary krell. she was born January 27, 1936 in vienna,Austria. she is the daughter of diana and willi krell. kary and her family had to move back to poland were her dad was offered a job.Kary and the rest of the jewsliving in borylslow were at first spared the full force of Germany's anti jewish measures. Her father worked in a jewish administration. He and his family were deported with the last jews in the summer of 1944. On oct. 15 1944 Kary and her family were shipped to the Gross Rosen concentration camp. Her mother was taken to ausehwitz were she was imeaditly murdered.Kary dressed up as a boy and tried to stay with her dad but the way she used the bathroom gave away her true identity. So they sent her back with the women were she starved to death. she also was one of the 1.5 millon jewish chidren murdered by the Germans and thier collaborators.
