| 3.5 Stars Ella was used to being the outsider. All the students at her school were white, and some teased her for her discolored facial skin, calling her "Camo." Z was the only friend she could count on. Sure Z was strange. He usually wouldn't respond unless you called him Agent Z, and he frequently lived in a fantasy world. Z was always a little different, but he really began acting strange after his father left his family. Ella didn't care, though. Z was always there for her and accepted Ella just as she was. Ella didn't think anything would ever change until the new boy moved into town. Bailey was the new goodlooking African-American boy who transferred to Ella's middle school. Everyone wanted to be his friend. Bailey, though, seemed most interested in becoming good friends with Ella. Suddenly Ella belonged. She sat at the cool table during lunch and started getting invitations to parties. Though Ella never turned her back on Z, he suddenly seemed threatened by Ella's new relationship. Ella feels torn. She enjoys feeling good about herself again but cannot forget Z's loyalty and friendship. Ella knew she would have to make a choice - choosing the friend she could always count on or the life she has always dreamed about... |
This book is so cool and sad at times. How she has to pick from being a nobody or a somebody.Leaving her one and true friend or somebody she just meet. I think she picked the right choose in the end.
ReplyDeleteElla is a girl who has a face that is dark brown in some places and light brown in others. Z has been Ella's best friend ever. Ella and Z are nobodys in the begining, and they only have each other. To make things worse Z has his own little world he uses to hide fom the real one. Then a new boy named Baliey moves into town and Ella's school, and he is black just like her. Baliey and Ella starts hanging out. Ella realizes she really likes him, and thinks he likes her just as much. Then Z starts acting different than usual. One day Z dissapears and Ella has to go and find him. Ella realizes she has to choose between her one and true friend or a cool boy she just met to finally be popular. if you like romances I reccommed this book for you. It is a moving book and it will touch your heart. It was good I couldn't put it down!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe book i read was about a girl named ella and her friends Z. ella got made fun of at school because she had a skin disored on her face and people called her camo face and the only friend ella had was Z. They were best friends but then a new boy baliy moved in and ella kinda had a crush on him and baily kinda had one on her too so Z got mad cause she kept hanging out with baliy playing basketball and shoting hoops. Baily was the only person other then Z tht didnt make fun of her and one day a boy made fun or ella and baily punched him and then they started to fight. so baliy got in troble and ella and him couldnt play anymore intil her wasnt in trouble. then later Z got so mad he ran off to vages and ella and baliy went looking for him and when they werre there they held hands and kissed. then they found Z and balit got in trouble for running off and being with a girl like tht so then ella got scremed at and everthing and then Z moved while is going to move close to ellla and everything trued out good

But ella and Z always got made fun of at school because her skin had to different colors and Z got made fun of because he was weird..One day a new student came named baily ella thought that baily was kind of cute.So ella and baily stared hanging out together and one day ella didnt plan on going out and she told Z that she couldnt come and hangout and then baily came by and got her and they went out with some of has friends.And then Z so them and Z thought she said no to him because she wanting to go out with baily so Z got all mad and tryed to fight baily but after all things that happen ella finally realizes she was beautiful baily and her beacme friends and Z got help with his problem.
ReplyDeleteCamo Girl is a wonderful book about friendship and bullies. Ella and Z are the "weird" kids at school. Ella and Z are best friends and would do anything for each other. Z has aspergers and thinks of life as a game or story.Ella has discoloration of her skin and gets made fun of. I love this book it teaches a great life lesson about friendship and loyalty.

Then Baily gives Camo a chip from a Casino. Z wanted one so he stole money from kids at school. Then Camo found out that Z was missing. She took money from her aunt an went to A.T.L because their was a casino their. When they found him a police man cough them and put them in a waiting room then they parents came and got them.

in the beggining ella has low selfesteem and lives with her grandma who plays the role in her life as her mother and takes care of her friennd who is blinded by his imagination rather then look at reality for what it is.through the story she starts to like a new kid named bailyie and has to choose between her friendship with her friend or her feelings for this new boy and gets in trouble along the way.

Ella, or should I say, Ellie-nor, is best friends with Z, or Zachariah. They are both considered to be outcasts in school. Everyone in school thinks Z is weird but he is not, he really just tries to see the good in the world and see the world in a different way than others by pretending to be a spy or a knight,etc.. Everything changes when Bailey James moves into Ella's neighborhood and walks into Ella's classroom one day. Ella likes Bailey and soon Z realizes it. Z finds himself feeling abandoned after he sees Ella with the popular kids and Bailey at a soda place(?). One day, Z tells Ella that 'the quest begins today,' and soon Ella finds that Z has gone missing and she feels like it is her fault because if she would have listened to Z when he was talking to her earlier, she would have immediately known where he had gone.

Camo Girl is about a girl who is thalt to be weird because she has different skin. ella and her best friend Z have a special relationship. They've always had a close relationship untill a new kid comes to school. This new kids name is Bailey. Bailey has a crush on Ella and doesn't like the fact thats she gets pickded on by Jonathan, a boy from school who tried to become friends with Bailey. This book is a good book. I like it because the two friends Ella and Z look out for eachother. But that changes when Ella meets Bailey. When Z finds Ella and Bailey hanging out one day, Z gets really mad and runs away. Bailey and Ella try and find him but find out that they must go on a short journey to find him.

Camo Girl is a book about a girl named Ella and her friend named Zee. Ella and Zee are outcast in their school ella protects Zee from the bullys in school. A new student named Bailey moves to their school. The thing that catches Ellas eye about Bailey is he is a black baseket ball player. Him and Ella start to talk, they become better friends, they start to hangout more outside of school. Zee gets jealoues because Ella stops doing stuff with Zee so she can hangout with Bailey. One day Zee gets mad and runs away. Ella and Bailey set off to find him on a crazy adventure.
ReplyDeleteThis book wasn't really my favorite. It was alright, and sad at times, but not my type of book. Ella seemed like a character that was just a bit too sad to captivate me like a good character should. Bailey just kind of annoying to me, how he just showed up and immediately was friends with the unpopular, bullied girl. I really don't want to post a comment about a book that seems hateful, but this book simply seemed to not be a very good book to me.
