Not As Crazy As I Seem by George Harrar
Describe at least 3 of the oddities or obsessive compulsive behaviors in Devon that you noticed as a reader. Does his behavior seem odd or different to you? Why or why not?
Do you think Devon is also a "normal" 15 year-old? What problems does he have that other high school students face?
Would you want Devon as a friend? Why or why not?
1)Devon has compulsion to do things in fours,like to eat four M&M's at lunch and be fourth going in through a door. He also has a 'tendency' to make things nice and neat, like keep his shoes in line, keep his room spotless, and line up his clothes in order of color. He is a germaphobe, which means he is afraid of germs.
ReplyDelete1.Devon is a very odd kid, I have noticed that he has OCD. His behavior is very different, like he eats things in fours. And that he is very nervous around his father. Like he doesn't like him asking him direct questions. He also has a tendency to make things perfect. Like making his room neat. Like his shoes and keeping his clothes in order of color.
ReplyDeleteI do not think Devon is a normal because of how he acts. He has to eat in fours. He want set in his shrink's seat. His coltes has to be in order by color of the bottens.

ReplyDeletedevon is obsessed with 4"s because he eats 4 wafers and m n m's and stuff like that so yeah and he is not kinda a normal a 15 year old but he does face some trouble stuff that 15 year olds face like to smoke or not and yes i would like to have devon to be my friend because i know he will be there for me and to make the right decions and stuff like that i really like this book it is so awso me
ReplyDeletedevon in the story has an disorder he has to have everything in 4's because he blames himse lf for his grandfathers death. He was reading his grandfather a story when he noticed that his grandfather wasn't breathing so he checked his heartbeat and he didn't have one. He counted to 4 then he felt a heartbeat, so he went to sleep and when he woke up his grandfather was dead. well the rest of the bok you'll have to read for yourself because this is a great book. I acually cried!
