Fourteen-year-old Toby Magill, a closeted Food Network junkie, gets a summer job flipping dough at Killer Pizza. Hoping to learn some cooking skills, Toby is optimistic about his new position, and he instantly bonds with his two coworkers. However, the teens soon discover that the establishment is actually a front for a secret monster-hunting organization, and they are the newest recruits. Their focus shifts from making pizza to weapons training and stakeouts as they try to uncover the leader of a pack of grotesque monsters that can transform into human shape and are preying on innocent people. Clearly, this is not the job for which Toby applied.

This book is THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ! The whole plot line is so mysterious! You never know what might happen next to Toby and the gang. I think that the 2 most suspensfull parts are when the guttata - Chris Childs - comes out behid the t.v. in Toby's living room! The other part is when Strobe and Toby go and rescue Annabel from the Alpha male guttata and in the end they kill him while being in DEEP trouble.
ReplyDeleteI thought K iller Pizza was a great book! Im not a fan of horror books, but I was hooked as soon as I picked it up. The whole idea of a pizza shop beeing a home for monster hunters is crazy. Toby is a great main character because you woulnt picture an overweight teen as a monster hunter. I would tell anyone to read this. Trust me, its awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI love this book. It talks about a boy named Toby landing a summer job. But he doesn't know that he's about to become a MCO. So toby meets Annabel and strobe and together they defeat the Alpha Guttata Farrior and the rest of the Gutatta. Then they graduate MCO academy by their boss Harvey.
ReplyDeleteThis book is a very good book, it is full of action, funny, and akward. My favorite part of this book is when the girl in the beginning of the book is getting attacked and blacks out. I highly recommened this book.
ReplyDeletei though this book was about pizza killing people but it wasnt.the gurl got attacked and passed out in the street and toby gets a job in the summer and he is the main charcter.
ReplyDeleteI loved this book. MY favorite character is toby becouse at first he is soo shy then he totally changes and is not that afriad anymore.Also I loved the plot it was so suspenseful I couldn't put it down .

ReplyDeleteThis book is really good. Mrs. Driggers read this book to our class and it was a really good book. My favorite part of this book is when the alpha gutata gets shot in the eye with Toby's crossbow and then he pulls the arrow out and then yellow blood starts to come out of his eyes. This book is full of action, comedy, excitement, and suspence. I highly recomend everyone reads this book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis book would have been great if it weren't for the fact it was so drawn out. There were scenes I kept thinking "we all know what's gonna happen. Just let it happen already!" It had a great theme, and an okay plot, but it just seems soo long for how short it really was. And there were scenes that seemed they would have been better if more detailed. There were some minor problems with me and this book. Just not my kind of book. It also made me somewhat sick with some of the nasty details I did not want to hear, like the gutata's yellow oozy blood. X_X BLEK!

i kinda like this book about the goutatas and how they had that lil team trying to kill them and at the end about the male goutata the biggest one
ReplyDeleteThis book was not my favorite book in the world but it was good. My most favorite part was at the end where they were fighting but you kinda knew what was going to happen at the end!
ReplyDeletei loved this book it is very descriptive and describes every detail. this book was really long to me it felt like it took forever to read. it tells about gutatas yellow blood and too me that was nasty but i still enjoyed the book. basically tobey gets a job as a pizza boy. his boss ends up giving him a job as a monster hunter. read on and see if u enjoy the book and if he will take on the job....(:

ReplyDeleteThis book is defiantly NOT ever gonna be on my top list. Didn't like anything about it! Not the characters, theme, plot or anything! At first I kinda liked Strobe, but then that just died out. It was too drawn out, and lasted way to long. Now, I love reading, don't get me wrong, but to me this was just NOT a good book! Lots of parts were guessable, and I couldn't really ever et into it. Sometimes it was funny, but that was one of the only good things about it. Toby, Strobe, and Annabelle fighting gutattas? Not my type of book. And of course, the girl gets kidnapped and they have to go save her. Not gonna recommend this one to my friends.
ReplyDeleteI think Killer Pizza is a great book. It was kinda confusing at first but i finally got the hang of it. It was about some kids trying to get a job at Killer Pizza. They begin to end up a group that kills monsters. They got dareed to fight the most powerful monsters of them all called gotota.One of them group leaders was gone. I would definety share this book with others.
ReplyDeleteOk ok, really I likees the book.But the thing is and most people will agree with me, it is way to long.Think about it if other books by this person were as long as this one, dont think anyone is really goin read it.Only if a person can read super fast but, after all that the book was good.
ReplyDeletekilller pizza was about a boy who wantes a job at killer pizza and this girl that he likes work . then they became a part of a group that kills monsters. the guy Greg Taylor makes a pizza that he coul not kill and it goes throuht the town of Ohio. and it is a big monster that is roaming the nights in the hidden hills ther has been reports abot a missing pizza in the hill of Ohio and and it just was a really goood book u just have to read it

ReplyDeleteI think this book was amazing. It's totally action packed. This book is about a kid named Toby and he loves to cook. One day he found a great summer job. This job was working at a pizza place called Killer Pizza. After working at killer pizza for a while Toby finds out that Killer Pizza is really an undercover company that fights monsters that can take the shape of humans. They also live quietly among the humans acting as if they were humans themselves. At Toby's new job he makes friends with some of the other recently hired kids named Strobe and Annabel. Together they go through many dangerous events that put life on the line. The rest of the book is for you to read yourself. Thanks for reading this. And also, READ THIS BOOK!!!

ReplyDeleteI got half way through the first page, boring as ever. I didn't like it. I tried reading at least the rest of the chapter. Couldn't even get through it. I don't like it. Boring. My honest opinion.
